MISSION: To advance Interoperability in the Research Community through CERIF Main activity: development of the CERIF metadatamodel and promotion of its application Other function: international platform for exchange of research information knowledge and expertise. Bi-annual (academic) Conferences, annual Seminars and Membership Meetings (twice a year)

CERIF CERIF: (Common Euopean Research Information Format): an international standard (meta)datamodel for storage and interoperability of research information. Official EU Recommendation to Member States. Strong points of CERIF: Broad coverage: includes all aspects of RI (projects, persons, organisations, funding, publications, datasets, patents, products, bibliometrics, impact indicators, equipment, etc…). Fine-grained structure and flexible architecture, allowing: In- and output of virtually any (meta)dataformat existing in the Research Information Domain The expression (“translation”) of virtually any formalised use case in CERIF. The ingestion of an unlimited number of controlled vocabularies (taxonomies, thesauri,...) – “semantic layer”. CERIF = comprehensive “legobox” of research information metadata.

Strategic Membership Meeting Merging of a euroCRIS members meeting and a euroCRIS Seminar. Occasion for the Strategic Partners and euroCRIS to get to know each other and share ideas on a strategic issue in the research information ecosystem. To initiate concrete cases of cooperation between euroCRIS and the Strategic Partners.
