movement The path a viewer’s eye takes the work of art. This can be accomplished through color, shape, line or edges.
Harmony/unity Creates a sense of completeness or whole

emphasis The part of the design that catches the viewers attention (usually accomplished through contrast)
proportion The feeling of unity when all parts of the design relate well with each other (such as number, sizes, amounts, etc.)
