Title of your poster here: depending on how long your title is, you should have your font size of the title be between 72 & 100 pt font Introduction Method Results Discussion Topic 1 Materials Review your results Keep it short, sweet, simple Review your chart/graph in words Still leave room for discussion Blah Keep this short and simple Use citations if necessary Use an image if you can Try to stay away from words like “the” “when” “basically” “is” Only list things you used for THIS experiment Don’t list things that we know are obvious If you used a measure, cite the measure (citations can be small, 2016) If you have participants, don’t call them materials Images are helpful Future Directions If A B C D E Topic 2 Procedure One can only hope that you don’t need this type of An image to explain your procedure, but you may In that event, this is better than Writing a paragraph Sometimes it’s nice to put a graph/chart Then explain your results underneath Keep your colors consistent Use the eyedropper function to make sure you don’t look like you’re color blind Don’t use white writing on light backgrounds If a chart will communicate easier, use a chart Use Future Directions to stimulate discussion Don’t repeat yourself by using an image and words to say the same thing Limitations Hypothesis Only list a few Don’t think you’re perfect But don’t put down your results I prefer to use bullet points for my hypothesis Some students would rather write their hypothesis in the form of a paragraph, and that’s fine too. You can use more than one type of graph But consistency is your best friend
