An important decision 2010 which led to permanent activity from project All of the city´s own companies and administration must provide Jobbtorg with trainee positions. 2,000 available trainee positions for the applicants. 2011: 26 million SEK (2,7 million euro's) funded to the project that would provide 200 long-term unemployed youths an trainee employment within the city. (2010-100, 2012-300, same budget) Leader, 6 coaches/jobmatchers, 1 adm and 1 counsellor. Quota for Jobbtorg and projects. The project focus on youths with a long history of being depended on social security benefits, newcomers and disable youths. In EU-terms: youth with fewer opportunities. 2019-01-18

Trainee 1-3 months 1-3 months Starts with a short interview. Important; build relationship and trust, respect, inspire…work together long-term…sustainability Assigned mentor. Test the trainees ability to actually show up at work, be punctual, to cooperate with collegues, and to learn new tasks. Trainee employment 6 months All cooperating parts have signed an agreement, with theese conditions: Provisional for 6 months. The salary is 16 800 SEK/month. (1 750 euros) Jobbtorg Stockholm is responsible for the salary costs. The youth is an additional resource in the workplace, and may not replace regular staff. 2019-01-18

Results and success factors Over 500 youths have participated since january 2010. 409 have succeeded during their trainee position and have been offered a trainee employment. Network with over 400 employers within the city with competent and engaged menthors. Our activities Participates in regular meetings with employers, mentors and youth, to follow up and support the progress. Offers the mentor a one-day-course. Offers the youth career- and studycounselling. Helping join the union and the arranging insurance. Helping keep their CV:s up to date and search for new jobs.
