STEP 1 – JOURNAL OF PURPOSE: CONCLUSION THINKING MYSTERY  HORROR SPECTRUM PLOTTING PUTTING “GUT” THOUGHTS INTO WORDS

STEP 2 – THESIS BUILDING & INTRO PLAN 1. HOOK – GET ATTENTION OR FOCUS 2. BACKGROUND BUILDING (TEXTS, BODY POINTS, “WHAT WE READ”) [WHAT I AM TALKING ABOUT OR EXPLORING] THESIS IDEA

STEP 2 – THESIS BUILDING & INTRO PLAN THESIS EXAMPLES: HORROR FOR TEDDY; VIEWER IS CONSTANTLY LOST; SUSPENSE AND PLOT TWISTS ARE KEY SHUTTER ISLAND MAY SEEM LIKE A MYSTERY STORY BECAUSE OF THE PLOT TWISTS AND SUSPENSE, BUT THE HORROR THAT IS CREATED FOR THE CHARACTER TEDDY MAKES IT FEEL LIKE A HYBRID MYSTERY/HORROR FILM.
