Literal Equations (LE) An equation that has 2 or more variables

To Rewrite a LE: Solve for one variable in terms of the other by doing inverse operations

Steps Clear Fractions Distribute Collect like terms APE or SPE MPE or DPE

Example : Solve for r d = r • t t

Example : Solve for h 2• • 2 r

Example :Solve for “c”. 3k = a + b + c - a - b - a - b 3k – a - b = c

Example : Solve for “r”: C = 2  r
