Component 1 – Question paper content based on clarified mandatory skills, knowledge and understanding (see course specification) five broad areas

Component 1 – Question paper Potential impacts of mental, emotional, social and physical factors on performance and performance development Methods of collecting information to analyse factors impacting on performance Key planning information Performance development process Recording, monitoring and evaluating performance development

Component 1 – Question paper style and content similar to existing question papers changes to existing sections introduction of new section increased to 50 marks 50% of total course award time allocation increased to 2 hours 30 minutes

Component 1 – Question paper Section 1: 32 marks all 4 factors assessed factor identified in the question

Component 1 – Question paper Section 2: based on personal development plan over a minimum of three sessions covering at least two factors 6 – 10 marks

Component 1 – Question paper Section 3: based on a scenario two factors identified in the question 8 – 12 marks

Component 1 – Question paper Specimen question paper with detailed marking instructions will be produced and published on the SQA website

Component 2 - Performance mark allocation of 60 – 30 marks per single performance event 50% of total course award two physical activities revised marking criteria

Component 2 - Performance two single performance events in different activities conditions and context remain unchanged enables candidates to demonstrate a range of skills

Component 2 - Performance no change in the method of marking marked by teachers and lecturers in centres internal verification - subject to visiting verification marks submitted to SQA early May

Component 2 - Performance Revised performance course assessment task and detailed marking instructions will be produced and published on the SQA website Understanding Standards Materials updated commentaries for the current performance exemplification will be available on the SQA secure website
