SWFDP in RA-II There are 3 projects in the RA-II in various phases of Implementation SWFDP- South East Asia: in demonstration phase SWFDP-Central Asia: In demonstration phase SWFDP- Bay of Bengal: Ready to move to demonstration phase There are 4 phases to the implementation of SWFDP Phase I – Planning, Phase II- development of Implementation plan, Phase II- demonstration phase and Phase IV- operational phase. Operational Phase requires an identification of a Regional entities to on responsibility in phase 4. WMO would move back and play an advisory role Regular reporting is also encourage during the demonstration phase cbs-16@wmo.int

SWFDP in RA-II (Cont…) The doc invites the participating countries to contribute their regular reports It also requests the RA-II MG to identify regional entities to take on the responsibility after the projects move to the Operational phase cbs-16@wmo.int
