Presentation transcript:

Sara Gable’s One Page Trainer Description What People Like and Admire about me as a trainer How to Best Support me as a trainer What is Important to me as a trainer The ability to move around. I engage better when I ‘work the room.’ To not be taken TOO seriously. We are covering some serious ground, but can have fun while doing it. That everyone has a name tag or name tent so I can connect with them by name. My note cards. I keep them close to make sure I don’t miss any crucial points. People speak up and ask questions and share what they are getting out of the class. People leave the class knowing that Person Centered Practices is about balance between important to and important for. That people feel comfortable to ask questions. People use what they learn! The learners get excited about what they are learning. Everyone tries the tools. Realizing there is always room to grow. After the class has ended people have a person/resource to go to for ongoing coaching and learning. I am high energy, enthusiastic and work hard to keep people engaged. Knowledgeable Passionate Good sense of humor Great presentation skills PURPOSE: Ask people to find this form in their work book-theirs will not be colored by the shapes will be the same. SCRIPT: Ask them to take this page out. TIPS: There are two copies in each workbook so that people can feel comfortable “scribbling” and still have one to make a clean copy. TIME: 1 minute NOTES: Co-trainers: Get there early so we can set up together and greet everyone as they arrive. Co-trainers: Remind me to slow down. I tend to talk too fast or move on to the next topic before everyone has had a chance to let what they learned sink in. These reminders help me as I want people to understand all the person centered concepts. Participants: Be prepared to learn, practice, and get to know new people! Co-trainer: Be prepared to teach, have fun, and help me answer tough questions from the class and rein in side conversations and discussions that have strayed. I appreciate if a co-trainer jumps in and helps to explain content if they feel participants didn’t quite grasp it. Please use person first language and don’t generalize or ‘box people in.’ After training, provide constructive feedback . I like to see my evaluations to help improve my training technique. Tell Me how you like to work and let me know ways I can better support you/work with you. Let’s work together! TLC-PCP www.learningcommunity.us
