Get to Know Me My background and experience I graduated from West Virginia Wesleyan College with a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education with a Pre-K endorsement. This will be my fourth year teaching fourth grade. I taught two years of Pre-K at Island Nursery.

Communication Every evening your child will be bringing home a folder that contains a weekly agenda. Students will fill these out every day before heading home with any homework that needs to be completed. I ask that you sign every night acknowledging that you have seen what they were to do as assigned. There is also a section for teacher comments as well as parent comments if and when needed. I will also be using ClassDojo as a source of communication with parents. Parents and students both have their own codes that are to be used with this app. Class web site: Go to our school website and click on “About Us” and then click on “Staff Directory”. Find Jenny Tenney and click.

Live Grades Live Grades is where you will find your child’s grades.  I will be posting grades weekly for each subject.  Please make sure you check, review, and discuss these grades with your child. https://www.livegrades.com/

Homework 20 minutes of reading every night is asked of you. Books read may be the student’s choosing. Study multiplication facts 1-12. Students will be given multiplication rings to practice with. Study for quizzes and tests. Any assignment that was not completed during class time. Attached to each desk is a folder that will be used for make up work when students are absent. Students will be expected to pick up their missing assignments and return the following day unless other arrangements have been made with the teacher.

Classroom Community Our classroom rules help us get along with each other: Be respectful and responsible. Be organized and follow directions. Be on time. Be prepared.

Supplies Bring these items each day Don’t bring these items Agenda Pencil Homework Any mail that is to be returned Electronic devices Toys
