Location The Maidu lived in the northern part of California. The Maidu lived on high ground. The Maidu had hot and cold days. The landform was a grassy place.
Shelter The maidu made shelters made out of sticks, wood, and bark. Their homes were dug underground to help them stay warm in winter and cool in summer. Their was a hole at the top used as the doorway. Shelter
Food The Maidu hunted animals with tools. They even took the meat and smoked it. The Maidu depended on nature for food. The Maidu ate acorns, berries, roots, insects, and corn.
Culture The Maidu made highly detailed baskets to carry acorns to their homes. They wrote on rocks. They used stone hammers to crack open acorns and used spears for hunting.
