Student Member Segmentation* Members who are dissatisfied with IEEE. They are unclear on the benefits offered and feel the role of the organization is unimportant. Segment 1 Student members who are highly engaged and take on leadership roles. Segment 4 Student members who are satisfied with their current connection to IEEE. They feel the activities are expensive, but have interest in continuing education and networking. Segment 2 Students who have both the time and desire to be more active with volunteer and leadership roles, but have not been asked and do not know how to get involved. Segment 3 Undergraduate students with part-time employment who value IEEE’s career resources, but do not feel it is essential to be involved with the organization. *2012 IEEE Member Satisfaction & Segmentation Study
