Who is this? What did she achieve recently?

Why is her clothing and equipment important?

Uniform What does the word mean?

What does uniform mean? remaining the same in all cases and at all times; unchanging

Who wears uniforms? Do you think it would make a difference if they all wore different clothes? How can you recognise what role these people have?

What is our uniform? Grey trousers for boys Grey skirt or pinafore for girls Maroon cardigan, sweatshirt or jumper preferably with school badge White shirt, blouse or polo shirt A school tie for Years 5 and 6 In warmer weather girls can wear a summer dress in maroon/red and boys can wear grey shorts Suitable black shoes, not trainers

PE kit Black shorts Tee shirt in house colours Black plimsolls or trainers The children may also want a track suit for colder weather (no hood) Long hair should be tied up and children should adopt a sensible style. As PE is a statutory part of the curriculum we keep additional kit in school, for times when it has been mislaid.

Other…. Our Year Three children are fortunate to have weekly swimming lessons in Terms 4, 5 and 6 at Mote Park and so also require an appropriate swimming costume. We extend this to non swimmers in older year groups. In the interests of safety we request that children do not wear any jewellery to school. However, if your child wears earrings these should be of the small stud variety. Wellington Boots for playtime if they wish to go on the grass.

Other….. Watches are the responsibility of your child should they wish to wear one. All jewellery must be removed for PE. All items of clothing must be named.
