The Story of the “Math Motor Speedway” Welcome race fans to the 10th annual Grand Prix at the Math Motor Speedway. Our racers today are Bobby Speedster and Johnny Oil-Slick. The racers need your help to get them across the finish line. You can help them by answering questions correctly to collect “gas” cards, but be careful of the “pit stops” along the way. The first racer who gets to the finish line wins the Grand Prix! Home Page

Game Directions The goal of the game is to be the first to reach the finish line To play the game you have to answer math questions correctly in order to move forward. When you answer correctly you draw a card. The card will either be a “gas” or “pit-stop” card. Follow the directions on the card. To win the game you have to pass all of the checkpoints and cross the finish line first. Return

Game Preparation Game pieces: Click on the link from the homepage and print one copy (preferably on heavy stock with a distinct color) or go to slide number 5 and print. “Gas” Cards: Print 4 copies of slide number 6 (preferably on heavy stock with a distinct color) then cut into individual question cards. “Pit Stop” Cards: Print 1 copy of slide number 7 (preferably on heavy stock with a distinct color) then cut into individual question cards.
