Curriculum will be discussed at Curriculum night on AUGUST 28th. Q & A Curriculum will be discussed at Curriculum night on AUGUST 28th.

Mrs. Amanda Poston – Full Day Kindergarten Introductions Mrs. Amanda Poston – Full Day Kindergarten Mrs. Stasie Randle – AM/PM Kindergarten Mrs. Kimberly Jurani – AM/PM Kindergarten Ms. Sarah Colwell – AM/PM Extended Day

Transportation - Arrivals First day: Students will gather in the gym. Parents who wish to come in will say good-bye in the gym at 9:15. Regular AM Arrival: Students will walk to their classroom on their own from their bus or car. Staff will be available to help students as needed. PM Arrival: Buses will drop students off at door B. Teachers will greet them there. Walkers and car riders will also be dropped off at door B and wait. Please wait with your child for a teacher to come to the door at 12:50. Please do not cross traffic.

Transportation – AM Dismissal Parents will park and walk up to door B, holding your sign with your child’s name. Students will wait inside. Mrs. Randle and Mrs. Jurani will call students as they see students’ name signs to dismiss them out the door to their parent/caregiver. For the safety of all students, parents will need to have their sign and walk up to the door. If you do not have your name sign, you will need to go to the office for verification purposes. Please do not cross traffic. Park along the curb.

Transportation – PM Dismissal PM/Full Day Dismissal: The classroom teachers will walk students to the buses and put them on their correct bus number. Another staff member will walk car riders out door G. Cars will line up along the curb and will exit down the same ramp you came in. Walkers will walk out door A. A staff member will wait with them on the grade level line in the front of the building.

First Days Transportation form Please be sure to turn this in today! They are in your child’s classroom.

Transportation - Changes Your child’s teacher and the office need to be informed of any change in transportation. Please send a paper note in your child’s folder and remind your child that it is there to turn in. You can also email your child’s teacher before school. If the change occurs once school has started, please call the office, as we are not always able to check our email during instructional time.

Take Home Folder Please check your child’s folder each day. There are important communications sent home on a regular basis. Students are responsible for turning in items from their folder. Teachers will not check individual folders. Your child’s school work will come home daily. If there is unfinished work, please help them to complete it. Homework will start coming home in September. It will indicate “HOMEWORK” at the top and is due back the following school day. There will be 2-3 homework sheets per week.

Full Day & Extended Day ONLY Snack/Lunch We do not have a snack time in our half day programs. Full Day: Please send lunch and snack separately so that student do not have to go in their lunch to get their snack out. Snacks must be peanut free. A list of permitted snacks is in your child’s mailbox to take home today. Anything sent in outside this list will have to be sent home and not eaten in class. This is a building-wide policy.

Lovies Starting kindergarten is exciting, but it can also be an adjustment for many students. Some students may feel nervous about coming to school. This is normal and will improve over time. We have found these things may help if your child is nervous about coming to school: - Bring a family photo, a special bracelet/necklace - Wear mom or dad’s perfume/cologne. - Bring another small (non-distracting) item for comfort.

Thank you Thank you so much for coming today! Those who have already been down to the rooms, we look forward to seeing your children tomorrow! For those who have not been to the classrooms, please give us a couple minutes to get down to our rooms before you.
