Sight words Solon Kindergarten sight word requirement is 25 words. (Sight Word Ring) We will learn WAYYYYYY more than 25 sight words in this room  Your child will be exposed to over 200 sight words over the course of this year and it will be possible to learn them all! (Heidi’s songs) Sight words directly correlate with reading levels and comprehension. Please practice sight words daily at home with sight word ring!

math Math Lesson Math Homework What does a math lesson look like?? Daily Common Core Review Video Newspaper Please be sure to complete math homework daily! Tear off back page. No math homework will be given on a test day! I will send home tests, but need them to be signed and returned the next day!!

Mindset Mondays at roxbury All students will be provided with tools to have a Positive Growth Mindset. ***YOU CAN DO IT*** We want to stay “above the line”. New lesson will be taught on Mondays via announcements and the focus will continue throughout the week.

Snack Homework Calendar 1st homework calendar will be sent home on September 1ST. Please keep this hung at home in a safe place. They should be signed and returned on the last day of the month. Please remember to send in a daily snack. Teachers may not give students snacks  No peanut/treenut, cinnamon in the classroom!

Scholastic Book Orders Picture Day Every month I will distribute a set of Scholastic book order forms. Money spent earns our class points=FREE BOOKS!!  Makes a great reward/present! Picture Day is September 12. Picture order forms were sent home in the first week of school. Keep forms until picture day and send in then.

Security Guard E-Forms Roxbury will have an onsite security guard present during school hours. Secure safety of all students! All E-Forms should be completed!
