So much of great photography is being in the right spot at the right moment. That was what it was like for sports illustrated photographer Neil Leifer when he shot perhaps the greatest sports photo of the century. “I was obviously in the right seat, but what matters is I didn’t miss,” he later said

Characters are like the seeds and the story is the tree that grows from this seed. The light that comes through the canopy enables things to grow around beneath   Jean Arp  Seeing through the works revealing a new reality, new ideas.  Portraits  a good portrait shows the persons personality Who is this man and what does he do etc. Describe embellish and write a scene about him.

What’s the story here? Denote the composition: what is actually in the picture, why, where when, why, what, how? Now find a meaning, connotation, implicit meaning and then finally write a short scene based on the information you have written down. Finally write a commentary on the process behind your idea, aim and development of the story.
