Children’s Book Project/ Spanish III Honors Mrs. Maldonado This project is to celebrate Hispanic Heritage week Sep 15- Oct 18 Due date 10/12/18 You are to create a book for children in which you use the grammar points learned this year/semester. The purpose of this project is twofold, one to showcase the richness of the Hispanic Culture and secondly to demonstrate your knowledge of the spoken and written language. Use the vocabulary that you know though you can look words up in the dictionary. Be careful to use new words correctly. You will lose credit if you use words incorrectly. Be mindful that this is a children’s book and do not put anything inappropriate in the story nor in the pictures.   You must include in your book: 10 separate pages of the story with pictures illustrating what is written on that page. You should have 2-3 sentences per page. One page should flow into the next using transition words we discussed in class. You must have a cover page that is neat and gives a clue to what your story is about. Use bold lettering to make it look like a real children’s book. Use a variety of vocabulary. Use as many words to describe what is in each picture. The more correctly used vocabulary the better. Project Grade Weights: 50% - Storyline Content , Grammar & Creativity 50% - Illustrations and Organization REMEMBER: You may create your book in Word or PowerPoint We will have time in the computer lab to work on this in class. If you do not have a computer at home, see me and we can make arrangements for you to use the computer lab. Note: Any use of electronic translators, the excessive use of dictionaries and/or relying on friends/family to write this for you is not using what you have learned in class to complete the project and is considered CHEATING. You will receive a ZERO for the assignment and will be unable to turn anything in to make up the points. Ask me anything related to this assignment!!!!
