Past Participles Used as Adjectives Past participles you already know: - cerrado (a) -abierto (a) -aburrido (a) -asado(a) -enamorado (a) -enojado (a) -preocupado (a) -ordenado (a)

Past Participles Used as Adjectives The past participles of -er and -ir verbs whose stem ends in a vowel, have an accent mark on the i of the ido ending.

Past Participles Used as Adjectives

Past Participles Used as Adjectives In Spanish, as in English, past participles can be used as adjectives. They are often used with the verb estar to describe a condition or state that results from an action. Like other Spanish adjectives, they must agree in gender and number with the nouns they modify.

Ejemplos: The chicken is cooked. El pollo está cocinado. 2.) The vegetables are roasted. Los vegetales están asados. 3.) The cookies are made in the bakery. Las galletas están hechas en la panadería.
