Paperless Clearance Initiative by Customs In 2014 LankaClear (Pvt) Ltd proposed to issue digital signature. Lack of storage infrastructure. Infrastructure upgraded in 2016/2017. Early 2017 paperless clearance project initiated. System development completed by mid 2017. Identified LankaSign as a prospective digital certificate provider CEO of ICT Agency expressed concerns about the validity of digital signatures issued by LankaSign. In August 2017 requested Attorney General’s opinion Agreement sign with LankaClear (Pvt) Ltd to provide digital signatures On 28.09.2017 AG’s opinion received. © Sudattha Silva
