Atlanta Evergreen Marriott & DECA 2018-2019 High School Work Based Program Grow | Reward | Live

Objectives 2018-19 Work Based Study Program Introduce future workforce and leadership pool to Marriott International, Inc. Partner with local area High Schools and DECA chapters to provide paid Work Based Study Opportunities, at the Atlanta Evergreen Marriott Conference Resort. Highlight leaders and showcase the career opportunities across various disciplines within Hospitality and Tourism: Sales & Marketing, Finance, Culinary, Room and F&B Operations, Engineering, HR, Golf, etc. Fill immediate employment needs & prepare students for future College Internships and Post Graduate Voyage Opportunities Provide students flexible hours / week of relevant work experience within a dedicated discipline. Generates interest for part-time, seasonal and temporary hire opportunities Prepare students for their next educational endeavor

Eligibility Requirements (Subject to Change) 2018 Work Based Study Program Students must be an active member of DECA and eligible for their High School’s Work Based Program. Students should be no less than 16 years of age, have reliable transportation to and from Stone Mountain Park, and be eligible to work in the US High School Juniors and Seniors are preferred for most positions. Students should have a track or interest in the following disciplines: Guest Services, Food and Beverage, Culinary Arts, Housekeeping, Front Desk, Banquets, Engineering, Finance, Sales and Marketing, and Golf Operations. 3

Proposed Timeframe (Subject to Change) 2018 Work Based Study Program August 20, 2018 – Application process begins September 10, 2018 – Property Tour and Orientation for eligible students selected into the Program September 17, 2018 - Work Based Study program begins for Fall Semester December, 14, 2018 – Work Base Study program ends for Fall Semester 4
