Update Purpose: This AGC update will provide a brief overview of five current early/middle college programs by showing both process and outcome measure results. Last AGC update was November 2013.

MDE:Earning College Credit in HS A Synopsis of Opportunities Advanced Placement (AP) State Approved CTE Articulated Program Concurrent Enrollment Dual Enrollment Early/Middle College Program (111 State Approved) Early/Middle College School (24 State Approved)
Dual Enrollment, Concurrent Enrollment, Early/Middle College Dual Enrollment – A high school student attends a college course that is offered on a college campus or another approved college site (700 + students) Concurrent Enrollment – A cohort of high school students taking a college course that is offered at the high school building (260 + students, 10 high schools) Early/Middle College – A five year high school program designed to allow a student to earn a high school diploma and an associate degree, up to 60 transferable credits, and/or a college certificate (330 + students, 5 programs)
Application Requirements Rigorous Process vs Open Access High School CUM GPA: 2.5 or greater High School Middle College Application Packet High School Instructor Reference Counselor Signature Approval Parent Signature Approval Interview Process GRCC Middle College Application ACCUPLACER Reading and WritePlacer assessments may be used in the student selection and/or placement process
