Design Challenge Parts organizer

Define the Problem Problem: The things we need for the printers are getting lost and are unorganized.

Do background research What information would we need to know? Determine the optimal size holes for flash drives so that that fit snuggly but only a small force is need to get them out.

Specify requirements It must have two holes for two glue sticks It must have a flash drive slot for the orange flash drive. It must have a place for a few extra small binder clips Optional: A place for the two screwdrivers we used A place for the three hex keys we used

Brainstorm, Evaluate and Choose Come up with as many ideas as you can: Quantity over quality Combine ideas Evaluate and pick one For your notebooks, I should see evidence of a few different ideas, list or pictures

Develop a Solution Each person in your group is going to use CAD (Tinkercad or Inventor) to design a solution. As a group, you will decide which one it the best, and we will 3D print one per group. Use a decision matric to decide the best, if you can agree For your notebooks, either make a quick sketch of your final design or print a picture of your cad model

Test Solution Print it.

After it is printed, evaluate it. How effective was your solution? Recommended improvements How would you optimize/redesign is you could start over? General Recommendations.

Communicate results Gallery walk when we are done.
