What happened during the period of Detente 1969-80? Lesson Aim: To examine some key events in Détente. TASK: What does ‘détente’ mean? What did it mean for the Cold War? Who was Kissinger? P141.

What were the causes of Détente? – Finish this off! Read Intro TASK: We are going to make a big spider diagram of the causes. You are only allowed 5 Key bullet points for your section.
