Students stand in a circle Students stand in a circle. A player begins the activity by saying, “ZOOM!” and turning his or her head to a neighbor either on the right or the left. The neighbor passes the zoom to the next player and so on around the circle. The idea is to go as fast as you can. The teacher can time the students to see how long it takes to go around the circle. A  4, A  4, B  3, B  3, C  2, C  2, D  1 She added up all the numbers to get 19. 4 + 4 + 3 + 3 + 2 + 2 + 1 = 19 Then, she divided 19 by seven (7) because she had seven classes. 19 ÷ 7 = 2.71 Sally’s GPA is 2.71. Did it surprise you that Sally’s GPA was not higher? Even though her grades were mostly high, her D brought her GPA down. If her D turned into a B, her GPA would become a 3.0. Pause and Reflect

How can You Improve Your GPA? Attend class every day. Have a designated study area set up at home away from distractions. Create flashcards or other study aids.
