The Steps: 1. Record the level of water in the graduated cylinder Remember there needs to be enough to cover whatever object you are measuring! 2. Place the object in the cylinder and record the new volume 3. Subtract the old volume from the new volume to find the volume of your object.

Can use an overflow container These work the same as before. Now we just record how much water is actually pushed out of the container!
