Light is energy that travels in electromagnetic waves, meaning it can travel through a medium (matter) or through a vacuum (empty space). The speed of.
Waves can also be reflective and refractive Waves can bounce off of something after striking it. That is a reflection. Sound and light waves can equally.

Light 10.4 How is light made? How does light travel? … through different materials? 1. Light is a form of energy. It’s made when an electron inside an atom briefly gains some energy which emits light (photon). The only waves we can see are visible light waves. 2. Light travels as a transverse wave. Does not need a medium- can travel through empty space. Speed of light- 300,000,000 m/s. Speed depends on the material it travels through. When light hits a prism it refracts (bends) as it slows down. When light hits something smooth and shiny, it reflects (mirrors back) When light hits something dark, it absorbs (takes in) light
