Year 7 Spanish Listening Assessment: Points to levels conversions NB: Remember these classes are taking different listening assessments hence the different points to levels. Single linguists: Total points = 20 Level 2 = 5, Level 2.5 = 8, Level 3 = 11, Level 3.5 = 14, Level 4 = 17 Dual linguists: Total points = 20 Level 3 = 5, Level 3.5 = 8, Level 4 = 11, Level 4.5 = 14, Level 5 = 17 New NC Level Description Level 2 Pupils show that they understand a range of familiar spoken phrases. They respond to a clear model of standard language, but may need items to be repeated. Level 3 Pupils show that they understand the main points from short spoken passages made up of familiar language. They identify and note personal responses. They may need short sections to be repeated. Level 4 Pupils show that they understand the main points and some of the detail from short, spoken passages made up of familiar language in simple sentences. They may need some items to be repeated. Level 5 Pupils show that they understand the main points and opinions in longer spoken passages made up of familiar material from several contexts, including present and past or future events.
