detect As I was playing football, I watched carefully to see if I could detect any movement from the running back. Definition: to discover

pedestrian A car must stop if there is a pedestrian in the crosswalk. Definition: a person who is traveling by foot

Inquisitive Little Willy was very inquisitive and always had questions for the teacher. Definition: to be curious and ask many questions
