A short video…

They changed the world… Haym Salomon – Unfortunately, many people today do not know of the contribution by this man – do you know who he is? Can you guess?

First, a bit of history… The First Continental Congress requested that Benjamin Franklin and a group of men come up with a seal for the United States. It took them 4 years to accomplish this task and another 2 years to get it approved.

If you look at the back of a dollar bill – notice the right-hand circle.

This Seal is widely used throughout the U.S. It is the Seal of our President It is on the Parade of Flags Walkway It is the centerpiece for most U.S. hero’s monuments

Look closely… You see the Bald Eagle – the symbol for victory because he is not afraid of a storm; he is smart enough to soar above it and he is strong. There are: 13 stars above the Eagle 13 bars on the shield 13 leaves on the olive branch 13 arrows 13 letters in E Pluribus Unum Also - there were 13 signers of the Declaration of Independence; 13 stripes on our American Flag; 13 steps on the Pyramid in the left-hand circle and 13 original colonies.

Look closer… Above the Eagle there are Thirteen stars – representing the thirteen original colonies – arranged as a Star of David. George Washington ordered this arrangement. After saving the Continental Army through his financial contributions, Washington had asked Haym Salomon what he would like as a personal reward for his services. He said he wanted nothing for himself; he only wanted something for his people. This is the result.

So…now what do you believe? As you can see, it is very possible for one person to change our world!
