Parent Drop Parent Drop -- A drop of blood from which a wave, cast-off, or satellite spatter. Ex: A person is shot in the arm with a nine millimeter gun. The person’s arm was pierced by the bullet leaving a blood spatter. The parent drop in this situation would be a drop of blood that casts off a satellite pattern.
Misting Misting blood spatter wounds occur when force or air pressure is applied to a wound. A high powered gun was shot into an innocent by stander. Hint: notice the cover of misting.
