Presentation transcript:

Key Topics What are the key barriers to implementing improved accessibility initiatives? How can we ensure that laws at international and national levels are translated into action? Can we draw lessons from areas where there has been a real tangible change to draw up new policy guidelines on implementation Should disability organisations and other key stakeholders be given a more formal role in monitoring and evaluation of legislation? Can laws and statutes from developed countries be useful models for legal and policy frameworks in low and middle income countries? Are there examples of innovative approaches to closing the gap? Are there times when legislation is a backward rather than a forward step?
