THE CLIMATE IN EUROPE

The Europe climates Moderate Climate: Oceanic Mediterranean Continental Continental extreme Cold climate : Polar High mountain

Oceanic Oceanic climate: This climate is characterized for soft temperatures both in winter and summer, because of the regulating action of the sea. There is lots of rain through the year.

Mediterranean Mediterranean Climate : This climate is characterized for having soft temperatures both in winter and summer, because of the regulating action of the sea. There is lots of rain through the year, because of the wind coming from the Atlantic.

Continental Climate continental: The land gets very hot in summer but also gets very cold in winter. There are less rainfall than in the atlantic areas and it appeares mainly in summer, when the hot air facilitates the rain.

Continental extreme Continental extreme climate: This climate is quite similar to continental climate, although it is stronger, particularly when we advance towards the inside.

High mountain High mountain climate: Temperature is quite low because every 1000m, temperature diminishes 6ºC. In winter there is plenty of rainfall and snow.

Polar Polar: This climate is chracterized for low temperatures throughout the year. Rain is scarce and it appears mainly through snow.
