What are you responsible for? Check your own Grades Pass your classes to get Credits Bring your own Supplies Take care of your laptop Be on time Behave Come to school

How do you check your grade? Student portal

How do you check your credits? ccrp

What do you do if you’re failing a class? Talk to your teacher Make up any failing work Retake your tests Go to tutoring What else can you do?

What happens if you are tardy to class? Lunch Detention 1st tardy- lunch detention Card (go to assigned room during lunch) 2nd tardy or missed lunch detention (picked up by security) 3rd tardy or missed Security pick up ( Friday Detention)

What happens if you have 3 or more unexcused absences? Parent will be informed Contracts will be given student will be sent to court if attendance does not improve

Cell Phone Policy In the building, Phones must be on vibration mode Cell phones will not distract from classroom instruction Cell Phones being used without permission: Teacher will follow PBIS Procedure and call parent Teacher can confiscate a Cell phone and Turn into the office parent can obtain it’s release with a $15.00 fee Any Device lost or stolen is the sole responsibility of student School faculty or staff assumes no responsibility

Respect yourself- what does that mean? Follow dress code Take advantage and learn as much as you can Don’t be afraid to fail Don’t be afraid to ask questions Don’t take long in the restroom (you’re missing out on learning)

Respect your peers- what does that mean? No bullying Be open minded (we’re all different) No cursing No profanity Hands to yourself Don’t take long in the restroom (your peers are waiting for you)

Respect your school- what does that mean? Keep your campus clean Don’t vandalize your campus Don’t roam the halls

Discussion Why is safety important on campus? Do you feel safe on campus? Is it safer to have students and staff wear badges?

What do you do during a lock down? Don’t panic Listen to teacher’s direction Bunker down and hide Stay away from doors and windows No talking No cell phone use Class period is frozen

What do you do during a lock out? Stay inside the building Doors and windows are closed, locked, and covered If you’re outside, go inside the building Class continues as usual

What do you do during a fire drill? Stay with your class Listen to your teachers directions You will evacuate the building asap

What does it mean to have trust? If you trust someone, you believe that (s)he is honest and reliable.
