Update primary numbers active part Is the name really 02.02 ? I lost release 02.01 amdb_simrec.r.02.02: Difference with amdb_simrec.r.01.01 (ATL-CSC-01-00-00)‏ new 1 BIM with HV <-> RO inverted new 6 BIR with HV <-> RO inverted + correction 75mm BIS8 bad positioning BML sector 13 add hole corresponding to elevator place12345 -> 12367 BOG bad positioning BMF1,BMF2,BMF3 LB2->LB1 BOG1,BOG2,BOG4,BOG5 RPC size W PRC8, RPC17 BOS2,BOS3,BOF1->BOF8 1868->1853 (+3mm? should be checked)‏ BOS1 asymmetric CMI +803mm

Update primary numbers dead matter part Maybe 02-01 was the version with only updates to active geometry compared to 01.01 ? amdb_simrec.r.02.02: saddle Forward MDT support Forward TGC support ? Work... validation of new set of primary numbers simulation No body working on this! reconstruction No body working on this! Graphical tool to debug GeoModel (find automatically clashes)‏ converter GeoModel Object to XML file to use Persint clashes tool O.Fedin 10% Simulation in the spectrometer (avoid G4 clashes): G4 expert to test boolean + brep's: time consuming + physics T.Nikitina 10% Converter Primary numbers to GeoModel on fly: No body working on this! easy dead matter update present solution is a dead end need to have somebody to check the objects weight in GeoModel/G4 w.r.t the reality No body working on this! ex: barrel coil in reality~90 tons and in G4? Tomograph informations to Primary Numbers P.Schune 10%‏ Geometers' informations: Nobody working on this! absolutely needed for alignment and magnetic field reconstruction!

Active part: MuonGeoModel updates and plans for 14.x.x Provide XxxDetectorElements with granularity of Data Collections allows muon code optimization (mainly timing in data access !) useful not critical big project (but details of the implementation are under control): XxxDetectorElements inherit from the TrkDetElementBase ( provide all generic tracking interfaces + technology specific methods) hold short arrays of “current” XxxReadoutElements and delegate to them the real work the plan: deliver the functionality for 14.0.0 in MuonGeoModel, while keeping existing interfaces for clients Realistic effects: A/B-lines, wire sag need to be there for real data B-lines: handled in the new convention (Sept 2007) in 13.x.0 physical validation (against AMDC implementation) to come for FDR2 provide access to deformation parameters from the cond. DB for FDR2 A-lines prove to be able to read them from COOL in simulation – hopefully in a few days wire sag is already addressed on the side of MuonGeoModel + MuonDigitization some design optimization is possible – not critical – can come after release 14

Active part: MuonGeoModel updates and plans for 14.x.x Clashes in the active, active-dead sector clashes seem not to be a major problem now: the usual few (!) known do not cause job crashes – at current default simulation parameters automatic cutouts still to be introduced not critical No defined time scale yet Validation Check-fix small inconsistencies of active sector in MuonGeoModel vs Amdc not critical (~10 microns) Memory vs cpu-time caching can be turned on/off - cache can be built at initialization already in 13.2.0 Range Checks methods to check validity of identifiers based on the detector element they are associated with already in 13.2.0 used in MuonXxxRdoToPrepData (Xxx = Mdt, Rpc, Csc) already in 13.2.0 identifiers (from rdo decoding / cabling) inconsistent with geometry layout do not produce prd
