Students in grades K-2nd can choose either a competitive or the Rising Stars Challenge. Rising Stars Team Number This Challenge is for students in K-2nd grade only. The California Affiliate fee ($85) will be added at checkout to your cart for a total of $190.

When DIHQ receives payment, your team number will be created and you will be sent a notification email. Team Numbers purchased with a credit card are available immediately upon purchase. First step in registering for the Regional Tournament. (Deadline is Dec 1st for early bird pricing.) Team member information. (important to determine competition level or Rising Stars level) Appraiser and Official information (every team MUST provide Appraisers and volunteers to help run our Tournament) Start your background check. Click on Register at top of page Click on my Team 18 Register in California Click on Register at top of page Click on my Team Enter Team number & order number Click on my Role Choose Coordinator or Team Manager, submit Click on Team Tab Enter team information Organization Name (district or school), Team Name (fill it in later), Team Members (names, age OR grade) Remember you need to update your appraiser information well BEFORE the Dec 1st deadline. The Appraiser receives an email and MUST respond BEFORE you can pay your Tournament fees!

Team Tournament Appraiser and Volunteer Requirements Step 4! Team Tournament Appraiser and Volunteer Requirements 19 Register in California Every team is required to provide one person to be a volunteer APPRAISER the day of the tournament.  This person must attend a three-hour training in early February 9th.  The volunteer must: be 18 years old, not in high school, and be available from 7am-5pm on tournament day.  This volunteer will not be able to watch your team perform.  Teams who change their appraiser after January 5th will incur a $50 charge.  Teams who do not provide an appraise will not be scored at the tournament. Teams must also provide a 3 hour volunteer to work the day of the Tournament.
