Planning life after high school 4-year University (UA, NAU, ASU, GCU, out of state) 2-year Community College (Pima, Coconino) Technical/Vocational (Universal Technical Institute, Carrington College) Military Straight to work Choose the best path for you!

How do I find out about what I want to do? ECAP: Education Career Action Plan Your plan for what you are going to do with your life once you graduate high school Through ECAP – you can take career assessments, find out about educational opportunities, and make a plan

DID YOU KNOW? 70% of all jobs require education or technical training beyond high school Workers will change jobs 6 to 7 times during their normal working lives Many technical and office occupations now require a post- secondary degree as more employers prefer to hire trained personnel than provide training

what CAN YOU BE DOING NOW TO PREPARE FOR YOUR FUTURE? Talk to your parents, teachers, friends, counselor about your plan after graduation. What do you need to do in the next 2 years to make this plan happen? Utilize conference period and after school academic assistance to help achieve academic success. Prepare for the SAT/ACT tests Join a club on campus. Connect with organizations in the community that offer community service to teens. Come talk to representatives from the colleges and military recruiters that come to IRHS in the library. JTED PROGRAMS Get involved through the JTED program! Are you interested in getting a jump start on your college and career goals? Then sign up for a JTED Central Campus Program! Programs include: Medical, Cosmetology, Early Childhood Education, Fire Service, Emergency Medical Technician, Law & Public Safety, 3D Animation & Game Design, Construction Technologies and Veterinary Science Most of these programs are 2 year programs, so you MUST sign up THIS school year.
