Essential Uses MDIs: Bilateral meeting with China, August OEWG Discussions focussed on essentiality of CFCs for MDIs containing anti-cholinergics Locally-made CFC MDIs with anti-cholinergics remain important to China MTOC was not asked to review its assessment of China’s EUN MTOC maintains its original recommendation that CFCs are not essential because more than one alternative is available, and China’s own phase-out strategy is satisfied If needed, China can choose to allocate CFCs to MDIs containing anti-cholinergics within the total allowance approved by Parties.
