Background Khmer Cultural Development Institute, also known as the Kampot Traditional Music School, is a non governmental and non-profit organization. It was found in 1994 by Ms. Catherine Geach, an English woman.
Vision and Mission Vision: A society that respects, values and supports traditional Khmer arts and culture and provides opportunities for vulnerable children. Mission: To protect, preserve and develop Cambodian Traditional Arts and Culture for future generations through education, training and awareness raising and to care for and heal vulnerable children.

Programs Boarding House: 28 eesidential children (15 girls) who attend public school and train in the arts at KCDI Outreach program: Teaching community children in the arts Transition Program: Supporting graduated, adult students to independent life outside the center Exhibitions: KCDI hall open to Cambodian artists as a free exhibition space for community Research and Documentation: Traditional art forms are preserved and recorded
