Having a GCSE in English will open doors for you… Leave school with GCSEs You need to get a 5 at GCSE to pass… IF YOU DO NOT PASS YOUR GCSE ENGLISH AT THE END OF YEAR ELEVEN, YOU WILL HAVE TO RESIT IT AT COLLEGE – EVEN IF YOU ARE DOING AN APPRENTICESHIP!!! Is it really worth having to redo your entire GCSE just because you ‘couldn’t be bothered’ or you ‘don’t care about English’ or because ‘it’s boring’…complaining is futile – you have to do it!!! In groups, share your dream job and swap forms with someone. Think from the perspective of an employer – would you hire this person based on their application form? What do they prove through it?
