If Shandra uses no more than a dozen tulips in each vase, find all the possible number of bouquets she can make. If Shandra uses no more than a dozen tulips in each vase, find all the possible number of bouquets she can make. Shandra works in a flower shop. She will put 462 tulips in vases for a wedding. She must use the same number of tulips in each bouquet. next

I need to find the number of bouquets Shandra can make for a wedding. I know that she has 462 tulips, and she has to put the same amount of flowers in each vase. The maximum number is a dozen. My strategy is to divide evenly any number to twelve. My equations would be: 462 ÷ 1 = 1, 462 ÷ 2 = 231, 462 ÷ 3 = 154, 462 ÷ 6 = 77, 462 ÷ 7 = 66, 462 ÷ 11 = 42.

Thus, after dividing by all possible answers, there would be six ways Shandra could arrange the flowers. These are the only arrangements, since 4, 5, 8, 9, 10, and 12 would not divide evenly into 462.

Answer: Six possibilities 462 ÷ 1 = 1 bouquet 462 ÷ 2 = 231 bouquets 462 ÷ 3 = 154 bouquets 462 ÷ 6 = 77 bouquets 462 ÷ 7 = 66 bouquets 462 ÷ 11 = 42 bouquets next
