Ethics activity project

Ethical value : to develop the person as a whole (desarrollo pleno de la persona) Specific objective: the student will recognize physics as a fundamental science that explains technological progress in order to identify how such advances are linked to the development of the person as a whole

Questions to think about 1. Do you know what are the most important inventions made since the Industrial Revolution up to date? 2. Do you know what are the most important inventions made in Mexico for the world? 3. Do you know which technological advances are the most important in the world? 4. Do you think physics is involved in the creation of these inventions and advances? 5. Do you think technology has anything to do with the development of the person as a whole? 6. What is the development of the person as a whole?

assignment- in class 1. You will have 15 min to interview at least three people around the campus (you will be asking them the questions from the previous slide) 2. After 15 min everyone needs to be back into the classroom. Groups that are late will receive extra homework tomorrow 3. Once you are back, as a group, you will come up with your own answers and will be sharing them with the rest of the class 4. You will be working with your groups. Each person will have a role Someone will be in charge of finding people to interview and will be asking the questions Someone will be writing down the answers Someone will be presenting the answers to the rest of the class Someone will be keeping track of the time and will help his/her classmate in presenting the answers to the rest of the class

Project´s Final product 1. You will be creating a video (5 minutes max) 2. There is no specific format but it must include the following topics:   -Concept of physics -The importance in studying physics -The relationship between physics and other areas of knowledge -The branches of physics and the aspects that each focuses on -Concept of technology -Explains three important technological advances used worldwide where physics was applied. Include one -Mexican invention -Concept of the development of the person as a whole -Mention three inventions that you consider important (going from the industrial revolution up to date) that have modified people’s quality of life and thus that of the society. Justify and explain your answer.
