Greystone Honor Code and Standards of Conduct Class of 2016

All instances of lying, cheating, and stealing must be reported. Honor Code As Greystoners, we will maintain honor and strive for respect by not lying, cheating, stealing nor tolerating anyone who does. All instances of lying, cheating, and stealing must be reported.

Lying Lying shall be defined as any false statement made with deliberate intent to deceive or any withholding of the truth made with deliberate intent to deceive.

Cheating Cheating shall be defined as any dishonest or unfair act executed in order to gain an advantage or assist anyone in gaining an advantage.

Stealing Stealing shall be defined as any act of taking another person’s property without approval of owner or legal right.

Toleration Toleration shall be defined as allowing the existence, occurrence or practice of any violation to the honor code or standards of conduct without interference to correct the alleged wrongdoing.

Standards of Conduct In order to maintain a high standard of professionalism, preserve our character, and prove ourselves to be responsible leaders, we, the Greystone Class of 2016, agree to abide by the standards listed below: 1. We will abide by the laws of the land including but not limited to, local, state, and federal laws and regulations. 2. We will not partake in or be associated with any illicit drugs, nor will we accept prescription drugs that are not prescribed to us, nor use more than prescribed to us. 3. We will not partake in the illegal consumption of alcohol or knowingly be in the presence of illegal uses of alcohol. a. Alcohol will not be allowed to be used as an excuse for breaking the standards of conduct or honor code. 4. We will not fraternize with anyone on Greystone premises. We will not fraternize with other Greystone students. Furthermore, any public fraternization will not be tolerated at Schreiner University during Greystone hours of business. We understand that participation in sexual activity resulting in an STI or pregnancy will jeopardize our future plans to earn our academy appointments and become commissioned military officers. 5. We will not degrade, harass and/or abuse anyone in a verbal, physical or sexual nature; all instances of which are to be reported. 6. We will conduct ourselves professionally and treat others with dignity and respect. 7. We will uphold the chain of command that has been established within our leadership. 8. We will represent ourselves in such a way that will reflect positively upon Greystone, the community, and the Armed Forces. This includes in person, as well as on social media. By this, we will hold ourselves to a higher standard and strive for excellence in all we do.

Fraternization “We will not fraternize with anyone on Greystone premises. We will not fraternize with other Greystone students. Social Media “We will represent ourselves in such a way that will reflect positively upon Greystone, the community, and the Armed Forces. This includes in person as well as on social media.”
