לֹא הַבַּיְשָן לָמֵד Adina Broder

Someone who is shy doesn’t learn Chazal say that: Someone who is shy doesn’t learn Why?

There once was a bison Who sat in back of the class He wanted to do well … Or at least just to pass

But as the teacher would read To the class from the text The bison just sat there Completely perplexed Is she speaking English?! Is she speaking English?!

And his stomach felt pain When he tried to ask The teacher to explain His palms got sweaty And his stomach felt pain Is she speaking English?! I think I’m going to be sick

Too shy to ask a question He wanted to shrink Because he was worried about What his classmates would think The owl will think I’m stupid. The panther will say I’m dumb. And, what will the fox say?

So he didn’t ask And just tried to do his best But since he didn’t understand He failed every test

He never asked a question, He was just too afraid, So he spent the rest of his life In the fifth grade! Not again!

Someone who is shy doesn’t learn We see that: Someone who is shy doesn’t learn In this case: לֹא הַ לָמֵד BISON בַּיְשָן

לא הַבַּיְשָן לָמֵד A shy person doesn’t learn
