We read many books about trees and Christmas trees. We learned that a pine tree is very important to animals throughout the whole year. We read about some of our favorite characters Desmond and Clayton and one of our favorite’s….A Wish to be a Christmas Tree. We discussed the theme or message of a story this week. We worked in cooperative groups to design and build trees from different items such as cups, Legos, wood blocks and popsicle sticks. We discussed what was difficult and what was enjoyable about working with others. We also designed and built trees made out of toothpicks and gumdrops! Our favorite part will be eating them!
