I have a question about APA Style

The Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association (6th edition) outlines the rules for APA style (BF76.7 .P83 2010). APA is widely used across the social and behavioral sciences, including education and business.

Basic Rules 1. The reference page starts on a new page immediately after the last text page and continues the page numbering. 2. The page is labeled References and is centered on the page. 3. Margins are to be at least 1 in. at the top, bottom, left, and right of the page. 4. Citations are double spaced. 5. Each entry in your reference list has a hanging indent. This means that every line after the first line is indented ½ inch. 6. References lists are alphabetical by the authors’ last names. .

7. Authors’ names are always written as Last Name, First Initial, Middle Initial. 8. Books or articles without an author or editor, are listed by the book or article title. 9. When an organization is listed as the author, spell out the name completely in the author position 10. The date of publication is in parentheses. After the author. 11. If no date is available, write n. d. in parentheses. 12. Most titles(article titles, chapter titles, webpage titles, or book titles) should be written with the first letter of the first word of the title, first word of the subtitle, and proper nouns are capitalized with all other words written in lower case

Indicate the location (city and state or if outside the United States, city and country) where the publisher is located. 4. Use a colon after the location. 5. Give the name of the publisher in as brief a form as is intelligible. 6. When the author is also the publisher, use Author to indicate the publisher.

The title is followed by the volume number with the issue number in parentheses; no space separates the volume from the issue. 3. Give inclusive page numbers on which the cited material appears.
