فوج اعدا میں Fauj-e-aada mein

فوج اعدا میں تلاطم ہے کہ شیر آتا ہے Fauj-e-aada mein talatum hai ke sher aata hai In the enemy army there was panic that the lion was coming

نام عبّاس ہے جس کا وہ دلیر آتا ہے Naam Abbas hai jis ko woh dilair aata hai The brave whose name was Abbas was coming

زندگی سے غم نوشاہ میں سیر آتا ہے Zindagi se gham-e-noshah mein sair aata hai Satisfied with his life he comes to this sorrow gladly

شیر کے آنے میں اب کچھ نہیں دیر آتا ہے Sher ke aanay mein ab kuch nahin dair aata hai And there is not much longer before the lion arrives

فوج پر فوج رسالے پہ رسالہ ہو گا فوج پر فوج رسالے پہ رسالہ ہو گا Fauj par fauj risalay pa risala ho ga Troops and cavalries will be in disarray

یہ زمیں کیا ہے زمانا تہ و بالا ہو گا Yeh zameen kya hai zamana tah-o-bala ho ga Not just this land but the whole world to come would be shaken up

وہاں تو سب درہم و برہم تھی سپاہ اظلم Wahan to sab darham o barham thi sipah-e- azlam There in chaos were all the soldiers of the unjust army

بحر غم میں یہاں ڈوبے تھے شہنشاہ امم Behr-e-gham mein yahan doobay thay shahanshah-e-umam Drenched in sadness here sat the leader of the nation

عرض کرتا تھا بصد عجز یہ سقاۓ حرم Arz karta tha basad ijz yeh saqqa-e-haram The water-bearer for the women approached with a humble request

مشک یہ بالی سکینہ کی ہے اے بحر کرم Mashk yeh bali Sakina ki hai aye behr-e- karam This water-bag is Sakina’s O compassionate one

دیکھوں غش اسکو کہاں سے یہ جگر لاؤں میں دیکھوں غش اسکو کہاں سے یہ جگر لاؤں میں Dekhoon ghash iss ko kahan se yeh jigar laoon mein How do I find the heart to see her unconscious like this

حکم گر ہو تو ابھی نہر سے بھر لاؤں میں حکم گر ہو تو ابھی نہر سے بھر لاؤں میں Hukm gar ho to abhi neher se bhar laoon mein Please order me to go and fill this up with water from the river

بولے حضرت کہ ہوئی مدّت آرام تمام Bolay hazrat ke hoi muddat-e-aaram tamaam Said the Hazrat that the time for waiting has ended

عصر تک آج ہیں سب زیست کے ایام تمام Asr tak aaj hain sab zeest ke ayyam tamaam Today by the time of Asr the days of our existence will have ended

مجھکو دیکھو کہ مرے سب ہو گئے گلفام تمام Mujh ko dekho keh meray sab ho gaye gulfaam tamaam Look at me, all my flowers are already dead now

تم ادھر کو گئے یہاں میرا ہوا کام تمام Tum udhar ko gaye yahan mera hua kaam tamaam If you go there, surely that will be the end of me

موت ہے پھر جو نہ سینے میں جگر ہوئیگا Maut hai phir jo na seenay mein jigar hoega Death is certain if the heart is no longer in my chest

آپ کے ساتھ ہمارا بھی سفر ہوئیگا Aap ke saath hamara bhi safar hoega If you depart, I will follow too

ہم پہ عبّاس علی وقت ہے تنہائی کا Hum peh Abbas-e-Ali waqt hai tanhai ka For us, O Abbas son of Ali, is the time of loneliness

ہاتھ پکڑو کہ سہارا ہو تمہیں بھائی کا Haath pakro ke sahara ho tumhain bhai ka Hold my hand O brother so we find comfort in each other

عزم موقوف کرو معرکہ آرائی کا عزم موقوف کرو معرکہ آرائی کا Azm mauqoof karo maarka arai ka Set aside this plan to go do battle

خون میں ڈوبو گے یہ انجام ہے سقائی کا Khoon mein doobo gai yeh anjaam hai saqqai ka You shall be drenched in blood, that is the price of bringing water

نہر فردوس پہ منظور جانا تم کو Nehr firdaus peh manzoor hai jaana tum ko Clearly you have made up your mind to go to the river in paradise

خوب ہاتھ آگیا پانی کا بہانہ تم کو Khoob haath aa gaya pani ka bahana tum ko Fine excuse you make of trying to get water

بولے عبّاس دلاور کہ بہے خون تو بہے Bolay Abbas dilawar keh bahay khoon to bahay Said Abbas, bravely, if my blood flows so be it

کچھ تردّد نہیں ہے سر تن پر رہے یا نہ رہے کچھ تردّد نہیں ہے سر تن پر رہے یا نہ رہے Kuch taraddud nahin hai sar tan par rahe ya na rahe I have no hesitation whether my head remains or not

سہل ہے زخموں کی ایذا جو نمکخوار سہے Sehl hai zakhmon ke iza jo namakhwar sahay I can bear the pain in my wounds with honor

مجھکو پانی نہ پلایا یہ سکینہ نہ کہے Mujhko pani na pilaya yeh Sakina na kahay I can’t bear if Sakina says that I didn’t bring her water

چاہ پھر کیسی تن و سر کا جو ہم دھیان کریں Chah phir kaisi tan-o-sar ka jo hum dhyan karain What kind of love would it be, if I cared for my own head

لاکھ جانیں ہوں تو اس پیاس پر قربان کریں Laakh jaanain hon to iss pyaas par qurban karain A thousand lives be sacrificed to quench this thirst

شہ نے فرمایا کہ بیکس کو رلاؤ بھائی Sheh ne farmaya ke bekas ko rulao bhai Shah replied O brother don’t make a helpless cry

خیر لے آے ہو یہ مشک تو جاؤ بھائی Khair le aaye ho yeh mashk to jao bhai But fine, if you have brought the water-bag, then go brother

برچھیاں سینے پہ ان فاقوں میں کھاؤ بھائی Barchiyan seenay peh in faqon mein khao bhai You will get attacked with spears in your starving state brother

آخری پیار تو کرلوں ادھر آؤ بھائی Aakhri pyar to karloon idhar aao bhai Come here so I may kiss you one last time brother

سر کے کٹنے کی مہم دیکھئے کب سر ہو گی Sar katnay ki muhim dekhiye kab sar ho gi Let’s see when my plan to sacrifice my head gets completed

جب مریں گے تو ملاقات میسّر ہو گی Jab marain ge to mulaqat mayassar ho gi When I die we shall finally get to meet again
