The Gun Control Debate Mrs. Opperman English 11H

A Quick View of Both Sides Anti-Gun Pro-Gun Guns were designed to kill, thus more guns more death. The Second Amendment is outdated and often misinterpreted. Assault Weapons are not for “sport,” they are for killing. Arming everyone will not stop the violence. Guns cannot save you. Guns are tools and are only as dangerous as the person behind them. The second Amendment is designed to allow people to protect themselves against their government. “Assault Weapon” is an over-used and inaccurate term. Any gun could be used for “sport” and often are. Arming society will quell violence. Guns have saved people.

You’re Opinion Using AT LEAST 3 reputable sources, explain what your opinion is on the matter. Opinions must be based on FACT only. “because its just right,” or “its bad” do not count. Have evidence to back up your argument. Be prepared to ask and answer questions. Respectfully (Socratic Seminar Rules Apply).
