How are we to respond to those who profess to be followers of Christ yet they choose a lifestyle of sin? Matt. 18:15-17. A heart to restore. Our desire must be to win back our brother not win the argument. Step 1. Go to them privately. Step2. Take a witness with you. Step 3. Take it before the church. Step 4. Remove them from the fellowship. What does it look like when the church ignores sin without addressing it in a Christ like manner.

1 Corin. chap 5. Sexual immorality in the church. Vr. 1-2 Sexual sin in the church should be mourned, not celebrated. Vr. 3-5 There was a “judgment” passed about this activity. Vr. 6-8 Unconfronted sin has the ability to impact the whole body. Vr. 9-13 The churches responsibility to each other vs. to the world.

WHAT ARE WE TO DO? Gal 6:1-5 Gal 6:1  Brethren, even if anyone is caught in any trespass, you who are spiritual, restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness; each one looking to yourself, so that you too will not be tempted. :2  Bear one another's burdens, and thereby fulfill the law of Christ. :3  For if anyone thinks he is something when he is nothing, he deceives himself. 6:4  But each one must examine his own work, and then he will have reason for boasting in regard to himself alone, and not in regard to another.  6:5  For each one will bear his own load.  Keys to remember. Restore that which is broken with a heart of gentleness and humility. Bear their burden with them as they confess and repent of their sin. See ourselves and each other as we truly are, not deceiving ourselves. Each one bearing the Load, the burden of how we confront and respond to each other.
