GMS ANNOUNCEMENTS 9/25/17

Skateboards, roller skates, and rollerblades are not allowed in the school building at any time. Thank you!

Winter I tryouts for Boys Basketball, practice for Girls Swim & Dive will begin October 16. Competitive Cheer tryouts will begin October 24. Specific times for tryouts/practices will be released at a later date.  Information regarding signing up for Winter I sports will be announced at a later time as well.  

Girls Rock IT – Hands On technology event for girls in grades 4-8. With the goals of breaking stereotypes and exciting girls about interesting opportunities in Information Technology, the Michigan Council of Women in Technology will be offering a day of interactive fun and learning at Davenport University on Saturday, October 21, 2017. Girls in grades 4-8 will be given opportunities for hands-on experiments led by some of the area's leading computer and information technology experts. Please join us for breakfast and information session about the expanding world of technology careers as students learn a variety of technology skills as they rotate through different sessions. We also welcome parents to join us for an informational presentation on the outlook of careers in technology that will run from approximately 9:00-9:50 AM.  https://www.eventbrite.com/e/girls-rock-it-hands-on-technology-event-with-mcwt-fall-2017-tickets-37528223928

There will be Open Gym for any 7th or 8th grade boy that is interested in trying out for basketball. Open Gym will be on the following Wednesday’s (6:15-7:30 p.m.): September 27th October 4th, 11th [Student-athletes should be changing in the locker rooms inside the gym after school and not the bathrooms.]

ALL students who are not at a sports practice or with a teacher after school should exit the building after school. There shouldn’t be any unattended students in the building after 3 p.m. If you are attending an athletic event, you should head home and return at 3:45 p.m. Thank you.
